Full Name: Robert Peacock Paterson

Robert Paterson replaced injured skipper Jimmy Mitchell at right-back in the title run-in in season 1954-1955. Signed from Queen's Park in 1952, he was transferred to Dumbarton on the 2nd of August 1958 and his senior career lasted until 1959, when he retired as a Dumbarton player. He then worked as an accountant in Aberdeen and was the club's auditor. Bob eventually retired to Glasgow.
