Profile:
A midfielder now functioning mainly in central defence, Paul started his football career at Victoria Road School and first gained prominence in the local Champion Street tournament, figuring three years in a row in the triumphant Girdleness Gunners team. When he moved on to Torry Academy, he also shone in juvenile football, playing with Torry Vics and Lads' Club. International recognition came when he joined Pittodrie clubmate Colin MacRonald in the Scotland under-16 squad for a tournament in East Germany.
