Scott Severin
Scott Severin in action for Scotland. Joined Aberdeen from Hearts on 23rd June 2004 in what was the first capture made by manager Jimmy Calderwood. Severin was already a full international player before his move to Aberdeen having made his debut against Latvia in 2001.

Scott had spent his entire playing career at Tynecastle where he made 188 appearances scoring 15 goals for Hearts before joining Aberdeen. Born in Stirling on 15th February 1979, Scott made his Hearts debut on 12th September 1998 after being farmed out to Musselburgh. He was soon involved in the international set up and he was made captain of the Scotland U-21 side having made 6 appearances for his country at that level. He was also the Hearts captain in the absence of Stephen Pressley and after his switch to Pittodrie he made his Aberdeen debut against Rangers at Pittodrie on 6th August 2004. He was recalled to the Scotland set up under Berti Vogts last August to play against Hungary after an impressive start to his Pittodrie career. As a central midfield player, Scott was also been deployed in a sweeper role by Jimmy Calderwood on occasion.
