Probable Defenders 3 - 3 Possible Attackers
    Public Trial Game
Kick Off:  7:00 PM   Merrie, Merrie, Wilson       Yorston, Yorston, Cheyne
Attendance: 10,000
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
Ten thousand spectators were present at the Aberdeen trial match at Pittodrie yesterday evening. The First League attack opposed the probable defence, the remaining places being filled by "A" team players. A notable absentee was Blackwell, who is suffering from a boil on the knee. His place was taken by Smith, of East End.
A good deal of attention was centred round Hickie, the new Aberdeen left back. The ex-Peebles Rover player came out of the ordeal well and proved himself a resolute defender.
The match resulted in a draw of three goals each, the defence recovering after being in arrears at the interval. The defence scored first through Merrie, but Yorston equalised. The League team's nippy little centre snapped a characteristic goal near the interval give the forwards the lead. Shortly after half-time Merrie levelled the scores, and Wilson put the defence ahead. The forwards were not long in arrears, however, Cheyne netting the equaliser.
