Ruth late double earns the win
Barry Robson's side produced another good comeback this afternoon to remain unbeaten this season.

The Dons were without the injured Connor Barron and Tyler Mykyta for the trip to Perth, with the game being played on the astro-turf pitch opposite McDiarmid Park.
With no reserve game this week Michael Ruth played for the 18s for the first time this season.

The home side took the lead after ten minutes when Bou opening the scoring past Dons Youth Academy keeper Blessing Oluyemi. It was also his first game for the 18s and the stopper had a good game.

Trailing 1-0 at the interval, the young Dons were trying desperately to get themselves back into a match which became a real battle. On a tight plastic pitch there was very little football able to be played and it was certainly not one for the purists.

But the Aberdeen boys showed really good resilience to dig themselves out of the situation they were in.

Michael Ruth equalised on 70 minutes when Kevin Hanratty picked up a second ball about 30 yards out. He drove forward and played a ball in behind after he spotted the run of the Dons striker and Michael produced an excellent finish with his left foot.

And the the same player netted the winner late on. A cross from the left from Lyall Booth led to goalmouth scramble. There were two or three chances but as the ball bounced about it fell to Ruth who stuck it away.

In the final few minutes Max Barry was sent off after picking up a second booking. The ten men though were able to hang on for a very hard-fought victory.
