A relentless performance from Barry Robson's kids saw the Dons hammer St Mirren 8-0 at Cormack Park.

After a delay in sourcing a referee for the game, it kicked off 75 minutes later than originally scheduled at 4.15pm with Duncan Nicolson in charge.

Tom Ritchie made a brilliant early save tipping Reid's shot on to the post and away to safety before Aberdeen imposed their authority on the game netting five goals before the break.

Max Barry (13), Lewis Duncan (18), Andy Paterson (29), Connor Barron from the spot (31) and Kieran Shanks (44) all netted before the break as the Dons demolished a Saints team who themselves had beaten Celtic 5-2 at this level just a couple of weeks ago.

The second half followed a similar pattern as the home side added further goals through Barron (49) from another penalty, Hanratty (56) and Shanks with his second of the game in 73 minutes.

A really powerful display from Aberdeen, with Hanratty at times virtually unplayable, the creative, attacking football from the side a joy to behold.
