Dons cruise into second round.
Match programmeThis tie was over as a contest by the time Aberdeen had arrived in Iceland for their first competitive European away day. This was very much reflected in the crowd size as only 1,500 witnessed the occasion and it is unlikely that many were rooting for the Red Army. Reykjavik kept the score line more respectable on this occasion as they held out until three minutes from the interval when both Storrie and Buchan netted for a 2-0 lead. Frank Munro added a third to add to his hat trick from the first leg and Storrie bagged a second to join Munro as top Euro scorer for the Dons. The biggest cheer of the evening was reserved for Hafsteinsson who netted a consolation strike in the 74th minute to reduce the deficit to 14-1.
