ABERDEEN'S 6-1 WIN

YOUNG FRONTIER XI. BEATEN EASILY,/p>

TOURISTS' PLAY DELIGHTS CROWD

East London, Wednesday.

Aberdeen scored an easy 6-1 victory over a very young Frontier side here to-day, after leading at the interval by 4-1.

The tourists delighted the crowd of 2000 with their pattern-weaving movements, and during the first half dominated the game.
After half-time the home side made one or two spasmodic attacks, but were generally outplayed. But for the fine form shown by Jones, the Frontier goalkeeper, the score in the Dons' favour would have been considerably more.
The game was played in excellent conditions, the weather being sunny and cool.

SCOTT OPENS ACCOUNT,/p> After seven minutes the visitors went ahead, Scott finishing off an excellent movement by driving the ball into the net. Ten minutes later Mills headed in a second goal, but the Frontier reduced their deficit in the nineteenth minute, McLoughlin scoring after receiving the ball from Trezise.
Then came two quick goals for Aberdeen. Lang made the score 3-1 in their favour in the thirty-first minute, and two minutes later Devine scored the fourth.
Soon after half-time Holhousen, the Frontier left winger, was injured and left the field.
Aberdeen's last two goals were scored in quick succession after twenty-one minutes of the second half. Lang obtained the first, and Scott the second, for Aberdeen to win by 6-1.

TWO MORE MATCHES

Aberdeen play two more matches in South Africa before sailing for home on July 9. They will meet South Africa in a third Test at Port Elizabeth on Saturday (Aberdeen won the first two Tests by 5-2 and 5-1), and a Western Province side at Hartleyvale next Wednesday.
