ABERDEEN WIN AT FORFAR.

Spirited Play in "Friendly."

COOPER IS INJURED NEAR CLOSE.

Aberdeen turned out their League eleven at Forfar last night in a friendly game in aid of the Forfar Town Council Unemployment Fund.

The match was contested in sporting fashion throughout, and delightful football was witnessed.
In the opening period the Dons did not exert themselves unduly, and were inclined to indulge in pattern weaving. The only goal of the first half was scored by McLean.
Early In the second half the First Leaguers got a rude awakening. Within fifteen minutes they found themselves in arrears, Forfar scoring through Reid, and five minutes later Black beating the defence and crossing for Preston to score a picture goal.
All frills were now cut out, and sharp raids for goal was the motto of both sides.

Tables Turned.

Aberdeen equalised in somewhat soft fashion when a misunderstanding enabled Armstrong to head into the net. Not satisfied with equality Aberdeen continued to press, and Mills put them ahead. Soon after McLean scored a fourth with the best shot of the match.
About fifteen minutes from time Cooper Injured his ankle and retired.
Forfar adopted cup-tie tactics in the closing stages, but were unable again to fierce the Dons' defence.
