Celtic 'A's First Defeat

Smart Performance by Pittodrie Reserves.

Aberdeen A' recorded their third successive home victory when Celtic ?A? visited Pittodrie Park on Saturday.
Celtic had the better of the opening exchanges, but the Dons drew first blood after four minutes' play. Miller was adjudged to have handled inside the penalty area, and David easily converted the spot kick.
The visitors were not long in arrears, as eight minutes later McGhee headed past Smith from Kavanagh's accurate cross.
Play was fast and interesting, and before the interval David scored a glorious goal after taking part in a smart combined movement with Warnock and Burke.

The Dons attacked on resuming, and David and Warnock went close with commendable efforts. Play became a trifle tousy, a couple of players on either side being lectured by the referee.
Both goals ran narrow escapes during this period, which was fought out at great pace. McPhee and Smith, however, were both in good form, and no further scoring took place. Fully 8000 spectators witnessed the game.
