Aberdeen 'A' Win
The Aberdeen reserves recovered some of their lost prestige at Hampden Park, where they defeated Queen's Park Strollers by two goals to nil.
Cummings was the first 'keeper in action, saving from Donnelly, but at the other end Smith saved a header from David.
Cummings in the visitors' goal, tipped over a fine try by Donnelly, and at the other end David missed an open goal.
The Aberdeen defence put up a magnificent display, and it was entirely due to them that the visitors were on level terms at the interval.
Aberdeen started the second half with a rearranged attack, Merrie going in centre in place of David.
The change met with immediate success, David opening the scoring.
Queen's played good football but were unlucky. Aberdeen's second goal was notched by Burke.
