Points For Hibs 'A'

Aberdeen Reserves Narrowly Beaten.

Aberdeen A met with rather a surprise reverse at the hands of Hibernian A, who, on their own ground, won by the odd goal in three.

The defences of both sides proved too strong for the attacks at the start. McHale was first to test Dudgeon, and immediately afterwards, at the other end, Gilfeather missed narrowly.
Towards the end of the half, the home team was superior, but the Aberdeen defence was only penetrated once by Lauder.
Aberdeen resumed with a vigorous attack, but Hibs were quickly at the other end, where Newman scored a surprise goal. In another raid by the visitors, the Hibernians' right back deflected the ball past his own 'keeper to reduce the leeway.
Dickie almost equalised, and at the other end Cummings made several brilliant saves. With the end in sight, the North team rallied, and Dickie and Warnock were a trifle unlucky not to get the equaliser.
