Celtic 'A' On Top

Aberdeen Reserves' First Defeat.

Aberdeen "A" met with their first defeat of the season at Parkhead, where they went under to the Celtic reserves by two goals to nil.

The visitors held their own at the start, and Falkner saved from Galloway. Cumming was called into action by Solis, and later the same player struck the bar.
Towards the interval Aberdeen made desperate efforts to take the lead, but there was no scoring during this period, although Armstrong twice almost did the trick.

Early in the second half Paterson netted for Aberdeen, but the point was disallowed.
Subsequently Celtic held the advantage, but it came as a surprise when Currie gave them the lead.
Despite their best efforts Aberdeen failed to count, and near the end Currie put the issue beyond doubt adding a second goal.
