Jackson's Hat Trick
Aberdeen "A" gained a well-deserved victory over Ayr United "A" at Somerset Park by four goals to nil.

Jackson at centre-forward again met with success, performing the hat trick. Aberdeen were superior from the start, and the United were kept mainly on the defensive.
Over-eagerness in the goalmouth kept Aberdeen from counting until thirty minutes had gone, when Ballantyne netted from long range. Jackson added two more before the interval.
Ayr United showed to better advantage in the second period, and both goals were attacked in turn.
Aberdeen always gave the impression of being the more dangerous side, and it came as no surprise when Jackson completed his hat trick.
Subsequent exchanges favoured the visitors, and Jackson, McMeekin, and David were prominent. Ayr's only real effort was made by Carmichael, who shot over.
