Aberdeen 'A's Fine Victory

League Leaders Well Beaten.

Six thousand spectators were delighted with the bright display Aberdeen A at Pittodrie Park on Saturday, when they defeated Celtic A, the Alliance League leaders, by four goals to two.

Aberdeen at once attacked and David netted from Warnock's cross. Celtic were on top for a period but failed to penetrate the home defence and when Newman only partially saved from Ballantyne, Donald scored a second goal for the homesters.
Play was somewhat rough in the subsequent exchanges, and there were frequent stoppages because of injuries to players. Donald scored a great goal after a fine individual run, and Solis opened on the visitors' account.
Just before the interval Donald sustained a severe facial injury in a collision with the Celtic goalkeeper.
Aberdeen resumed with ten men but continued to hold their own, Adam and Ballantyne both missing narrowly.
Cummings saved well from Solis in a hot Celtic attack but David broke away and increased Aberdeen's lead.
Celtic become more aggressive as time wore on, and nearing the end O'Donnell reduced the leeway from a penalty kick.
