Scottish Alliance League
Airdrieonians 1 - 1 Aberdeen
Kick Off:    Johnston       Jackson.
Attendance: 0
Venue: Broomfield Park, Airdrie
Point For Young Dons

Airdrie "A" Held.

Aberdeen "A" put up a grand display at Broomfield Park, only a last-minute goal enabling Airdrieonians' reserves to save a point.
The homesters had slightly the better of the opening exchanges, and Mooney had two good tries.
In an Aberdeen attack Wilson was lucky to save a shot from Jackson.
Things looked black for Aberdeen when Mooney was tripped in the penalty area, but the winger, who took the kick himself, sent against the -upright.
Jackson scored a great opening goal for the visitors, and Airdrie were lucky not to go further in arrears before the interval.

Team changes by Airdrie in the second half tended to make the homesters more dangerous, and Cumming was kept busy.
Aberdeen were fortunate when a shot by Allison hit the crossbar, and two efforts, which had Cumming beaten, trickled past.
Airdrie were well worth a goal at this stage, but it was in the closing minutes that they equalised, Cumming being deceived a long shot from Johnston.
