Ibrox Team in Rampant Mood.

THREE GOALS UP IN EIGHT MINUTES.

Rangers A practically assured themselves of the Scottish Alliance championship by defeating Aberdeen A at Pittodrie Park on Saturday, while Aberdeen lost their chance of finishing third on the chart.

The team opened in whirlwind fashion and soon exploited the weakness in the home defence. In two minutes Cumming misjudged a cross from Smith, and Conlin netted easily, while, following a fleeting home raid, Main broke away and put the visitors two ahead with a splendid shot.
Aberdeen could not shake off the pressure, and, with only eight minutes played, Smith headed through a third goal which Cumming might have averted.

Aberdeen Improve.

Rangers played glorious football, but Aberdeen gradually improved, and Dawson brought off a fine double-barrelled save from Warnock and Adam. The home half-backs could not cope with the methodical attacks of the Rangers' forwards, and it was no surprise when Smith smashed a fourth counter past Cumming.
Just before the interval Cumming was relieved to see another great drive from Smith rebound from an upright, while at the other end Warnock spoiled good outfield play by finishing weakly.

Aberdeen showed to more advantage the opening stages of the second half, but the ever-dangerous Smith again found the net, incidentally completing his hat-trick.

Adam and Hill Score.

Thereafter the homesters came more into the game, and Adam took advantage of Galloway's pass to open their account. Hill followed with a fine second goal, but Rangers were playing well within themselves and finished good winners.
