Young Dons Win At Falkirk

Aberdeen A had "Newman" on trial at centre-forward in their Alliance match with Falkirk A at Brockville Park on Saturday. The visitors left-winger was also "Newman."

After some twenty minutes play, the Dons took the lead. "Newman" broke away on the left wing and his cross was palmed out, but Newman, at centre, nipped in smartly to spend the ball home. Immediately afterwards Chalmere got the equaliser for the Bairns. Centre Newman restored the visitors' lead with a header.

On resuming, the young Dons were in the ascendancy and Galloway struck the crossbar with an unsaveable shot, and minute later the same player had the keeper in action. Galloway got his reward, however, scoring with a hard shot from far out. The Bairns' forwards were weak in front of goal and the Aberdeen superiority continued. Adam added a fourth goal. Aberdeen A were well served by Newman at centre and Cumming, Russell and Galloway, while in the Bairns' side Archibald and Low were outstanding.
