Venue: Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow
Aberdeen 'A' Beaten
It was hard although very poor game, this Alliance match at Ibrox Park last night.

Thrills were few and far between, and there was really nothing to enthuse over. Rangers won because they showed the better combination.
Both defences came out of the fray with flying colours, with Dawson, the Rangers custodian, at his best, and Buchanan working bard. Mann and Marshall were the Ibrox Park lot's best forwards.
For Aberdeen. "Newman," Burke, and David were outstanding. Fifteen minutes had gone when Fleming shot hard at Cummings, who had to go all the way to clear. Aberdeen came away after this, and Oliphant brought out Dawson's capabilities to the full with a clever header.

McGowan Retires.

Ten minutes after the change of ends, McGowan was compelled to retire owing to his sustaining an injury, and did not reappear.
Midway through the second half Murray, catching a stray ball outside the penalty, drove hard and fast into the net, giving Rangers the only goal of the match.
