Profile:
Full name: Francis Michael Munro.

Francis Munro joined the Dons from Dundee United in 1966 and quickly established himself as a key player for Eddie Turnbull. He played against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Washington Whips tour of the USA in the summer of 1967 including the famous President's Cup Final which finished with a 6-5 win for Wolves. Frank's hat-trick in that match may well have alerted Wolves to his qualities for in October 1968 he was transfered to the Molineux club in October 1968. He played over 300 matches for Wolves and in the early 1970's won nine Scotland International caps. He played for Wolves in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup Final of 1972 against Tottenham Hotspur, and in the Football League Cup Final of 1974 against Manchester City. After leaving Wolves he had a brief spell at Celtic in the mid seventies. Thereafter he moved to Australia. In later life he retired to the Wolverhampton area.

Died: Wolverhampton, 16th August 2011
