Full name: James Boyes Whyte.
A Tommy Pearon signing in 1962, Jim settled into the Pittodrie reserve team and developed into a regular first team player by season 1965-1966. He was a mainstay of Eddie Turnbull's teams and played in the Scottish Cup Final of 1967. Transferred to Kilmarnock in 1970, Jim eventually returned to work at Pittodrie in a commercial role and was a founding member of the AFC Former Players Association.
Played for Clyde in a testimonial match in August 1975.
