Andy Roddie signed for the Dons from Glasgow United in April 1988 and rapidly made an impression in the reserve team where he was a regular goalscorer. Between 1991 and 1994 he played in 28 first team matches, scoring 5 goals. His debut was against Celtic on the 9th of November 1991 at Celtic Park when he replaced Graham Watson. His home debut, in which he scored a goal, came against St Johnstone in mid-December 1991. After leaving Aberdeen in1994 Andy joined Motherwell where he made 55 League appearances before continuing on a career that took him to many clubs and many parts of Scotland and the world.
