Profile: |
Full name: Paul David Mason.
A surprise, but very welcome, signing for the Dons when Alex Smith as the Dons boss plucked him from the relative obscurity of the Dutch league after watching Theo Snelders. A £200,000 fee secured the Liverpool born player who became a very popular player with the supporters at Pittodrie. Used in a variety of roles, perhaps his most telling contribution was his two goals in the 1989 League cup Final that defeated Rangers. Transferred to Ipswich after the 1993 Scottish Cup Final in a £440,000 deal.
