Profile: |
Local lad Scott Thomson was signed for the Dons by Alex Smith in 1991 from Brechin City where he had been spotted as a potentially exiting forward. He served at Pittodrie throughout the Willie Miller era but couldn't quite find favour when up against several quality strikers. He debuted against Arbroath in August 1992 and clocked up 25 first team appearances, mainly as a substitute, and scored one goal. He moved to Raith Rovers in 1996 and established himself as a regular before joining Dunfermline Athletic in 1998 where he made 312 League appearances playing as a strong defender. Later move to work in video production with MB Productions.
