NEW CENTRE-FORWARD FOR ABERDEEN

Mr James Philip the manager of Aberdeen F.C., has signed on Joseph Spalding, a centre-forward of Bonnyrigg Rose.
Spalding is 5ft 10in in height and weighs nearly 12 stone. He has been a prolific goal-getter for Bonnyrigg Rose this season, and has been much sought after by senior clubs. Mr William Philip, the chairman of the Aberdeen club, has watched him play on two occasions recently, and has been much impressed by his form. Spalding was a second-class juvenile last season, and since becoming associated with Bonnyrigg Rose has earned the reputation of being the best junior centre-forward in the East of Scotland.
