One of the legacies of the club's centenary year in 2003 was the formation of the Aberdeen FC
Former Players Association. That is now flourishing with almost 200 ex-dons now signed up and
enjoying the privilege that comes with membership.
In tandem, the club set about recognising the players and staff who have made a significant
contribution to the history of Aberdeen Football Club in the past. The Hall of Fame was introduced
and around 50 players and staff will be inducted in to the elite club over the next five years.
The Inaugural Hall of Fame Dinner at Pittodrie Stadium was held on Friday 26th March 2004.
