hand lost at pittodrie

HAND LOST IN APPLAUDING WINNING GOAL?

What was at first thought to be a gruesome discovery, but which turned out to have no connection with crime, was made at Pittodrie, the ground of Aberdeen Football Club, yesterday. Workmen were engaged cleaning the stand when one of them came across what he thought was a human hand enclosed in a brown glove. Hesitatingly he picked it up, but whatever thoughts might have entered his mind were banished when he discovered that the hand was an artificial one. The loss of the hand must have taken place in the crowd at the Aberdeen v. Hearts match on Saturday, and probably the owner was not aware of his loss until he got home. The owner will receive his property by calling for it at Pittodrie.
