By Train: Dumfries station lies on the Glasgow-Kilmarnock-Carlisle line. Leave Dumfries Station from the ticket office side and turn right. At the end of the road turn left and continue down this road for about a mile until you reach the river. Cross the bridge and turn right onto the dual carriageway. Take the first left off this road then first right and you will see the ground behind the Ice Bowl. By Car / Coach: Head South on the A74(M) until the turn off for the A701 at Beattock.Continue South on the A701 for 13 miles until reaching the junction with the A75. Turn right at this junction onto the A75 westerly towards Stranraer for 0.5 miles until reaching the junction with the A76. Turn left towards Town Centre onto Glasgow Road for 600 yards. Go straight across at the first roundabout at Homebase then take right hand lane at the second roundabout. Turn right onto Summerville Avenue and proceed past mini-roundabout at Tesco to crossroads with Terregles Street Turn left onto Terregles Street for 400 yards and take first left. Proceed for 100 yards to a T junction and turn left. |

The nearest pub to the ground is The Spread Eagle which is just over the Buccleuch Street Bridge. Within a few yards of this is The Devorgilla, The Globe and The Salutation. Across the bridge on the Whitesands and Friars Vennel there are many pubs, and in the town centre there are The Hole in the Wa', another Globe (good food) plus a few more. There is also a reasonably sized social club at the rear of the Main Stand were away fans are always welcomed. |
