The Montrose seem to have fallen on uneasy times, judging from the numerous reverses they have sustained of late. Time was when they were almost invincible in the north, but their armour has become weak. It was, nevertheless, a good performance on the part of the Aberdeen to defeat the "Gable Endies" by 4-2, and that too, with scarcely a top representative. There was a very poor attendance. The teams were: Montrose: Alexander; G. Bowman, McPherson; A. Bowman, Jarvis, McIntosh; Fullerton, Fraser, Moir, Watson, Good. Aberdeen - Smyth; Catto, McDonald; Henderson, Smith, Thomson; Mackie, Milne, Cadger, Gray, Still.
