Victoria United 1 - 1 Port Glasgow Athletic
Kick Off:    Flynn
Attendance: 0
Venue: Victoria Bridge, Aberdeen
Before an excellent "gate" an interesting match was played at Torry Grounds, Aberdeen, yesterday between teams representing the Victoria United and Port-Glasgow Athletic. The teams were: Victoria United: Findlay; Kilgour, Thain; Ross, Stronach, Thomson; Flynn, Stewart, Tonner, Runcie, Ritchie. Port-Glasgow Athletic: Ward; Scullion, Craig; Duffy, Macdongall, Graham; Hodge, McCorquodale, Smith, Carson, Tosh. The first half was well contested, the visitors playing a careful game, and just before half-time they succeeded in notching the first point. The game at half-time stood: Port-Glasgow, 1; Vics, nil.

The second half was very much of a rush-and-dash game, both sides exhibiting equally interesting form. The Vics, by rather clever play, frequently seemed on the point of equalising, but the custodian for the strangers was quite ready for the tussle, and baffled all efforts far to break his guard. After some desultory play, during which the sphere re¬bounded from end to end without affording either team the advantage, the home halves took up the running, and carried the ball into the Port-Glasgow territory. A scrimmage at the goal¬mouth gave Flynn the desired opportunity, and at last, by a clean, hard shot, the Vics equalised. With the end of the game in view the Vics strove hard for the winning point, but without result, and the game ended: Victoria United, 1; Port-Glasgow Athletic, 1.
