The Aberdeen supporters are still looking for the silver lining. We fondly hoped that victory would be theirs on Saturday; but, instead, we have to chronicle another defeat. Those who witnessed the match, supporters of the Whites and others, all agree that the Royal Albert deserved to win. The Aberdeen, as has been pretty often the case with them this season, took matters too easily, and woke up too late. But they never looked like winning, their play all through being of a most straggling order. In marked contrast to this was the fine combination of the visitors. This was especially apparent in their half-backs, who were always at the right place at the right moment. They gave the best display of half-back play seen in Aberdeen for a long time. If the Aberdeen players are capable of learning, there was much in the Albert play worth copying. As is always the case when a team is in low water, there was only a fair attendance of spectators.
