These teams engaged in a friendly fixture at Pittodrie Park before a large attendance of spectators. From the start there was even play, and this continued for a long period. The match between these two clubs on Saturday, if it did nothing else, served to keep the players in condition. There being nothing at stake little interest was taken in the game? friendlies nowadays don't take on. Someday, however, we in these northern quarters may have to fall back on the much abused friendly for Saturdays' sport, the Northern League fail-ing altogether this season to keep the enthusiasm up to concert pitch. However, this has nothing to do with Saturday's game, which all know Aberdeen won by 3-1. On the whole they deserved their victory, though the Vics would not have been grudged a third goal. The Aberdeen again played a re-arranged team, and if it was not quite up to the previous week's one, there was certainly no falling off. All the same their supporters will be heartily glad when they once settle upon a team to take them through the Charities and the Lord Provost's Shield ties. Both teams exhibited good play, and at times the game was quite exciting. We again missed the familiar figure of Findlay between the uprights for the Vics. He is recovering, and will soon be back keeping his old charge.
