Kick Off:    Walker, Walker, Walker, Knowles       Willox
Attendance: 0
Venue: Central Park, Aberdeen
The Victoria United and Orion teams met at Central Park, Kittybrewster, in a Rhodesia Cup ficture. There was a large turnut of spectators, and the weather was all that could be desired. The teams were:- Victoria United: Murray; Kilgour, Thain; Craig, Stronach, Arthur Murray; Knowles, Duncan, Walker, Burnett, Ritchie. Orion: Ritchie; Brebner, Ross; Currie, Willox, Wilson; Prophet, Livingstone, Barron, Grant, Ritchie. Mr. McLachlan, Glasgow, was referee.

Orion won the toss, and United kicked off down the incline. The homesters immediately got in front of Ritchie, who was called upon to clear in the first minute of the game. The United had the best of the opening exchanges, but their shooting was somewhat erratic. Orion now took up the running, and from a scrimmage Willox opened the scoring with a fast shot. A few minutes later the Stripes got the ball through again, but the referee ruled off-side. The United now showed better combination, and ater some neat passing by the forward line, Walker succeeded in equalising. About two minutes later Walker found the net a second time, but the referee disallowed the point. Orion now pressed vigorously, but Murraymanaged to keep his charge intact.

On resuming, the United played with great determination, and the Orion had to act on the defensive for a time. Ritchie had a fine run up the left wing by imself, and centred beautifully toWalker, who found no difficulty in placing his team one goal up. Almost immediately Walker added another pint for the ground team. The display of Orion forwards left much to be desired, whilst the defence was also week owing to the absence of Thomson. Once more the Blues went down the field in a body, and Knowles scored a fourth goal. An element of roughness now crept into the game, and several hard knocks were exchanged, but the referee kept a watchful eye on the offenders. The game ended in a substantial win for the homesters.
