These teams met at Central Park, Aberdeen, on Saturday afternoon. The pitch was in a very soft condition, and rain poured incessantly. The teams were:- Brechin United: George Shand; D. Stewart, Lyon; Irvine, Will, Dakers; Weston, Glen, Webster, Crockett, Towns. Victoria United: R. Murray; Dorian, R. Craig; F. Craig, Murray, Bremner; Knowles, Duncan, G. Ritchie, Ferries, Ritchie.
The Victoria United kicked off up the incline, and in the opening stages of the game had most of the play. They were not long in pressing home the advantage they had secured, and Ritchie netted for the home team, although Shand made a splendid effort to save. Hardly had the leather been again in motion, than Ritchie shot from far out into goal. Owing to the condition of the pitch, it was decided to play only half an hour each way.
In the second half the Vics had most of the pressing, Ferries and Ritchie each registering a goal.
