Orion 0 - 2 Hibernian
Kick Off:          Callaghan, McGeachan
Attendance: 0
Venue: Cattofield, Aberdeen
A large crowd gathered at Cattofield last night to witness a friendly encounter between the Orion and the Hibernian, Edinburgh. Both clubs were well represented. There was no scoring in the first period.

The second half opened in favour of the Hibernians, who assailed Ritchie's charge. The ball was returned, however, and at the other end Rennie ably fisted out a couple of well-directed shots. Clever combination play again gave the visitors the advantage, and McCall scored an offside goal. Willox did yeoman service for his team by a smart piece of dribbling, but McGinnes cleared. A combined rush by the Greens looked like a goal, but Ritchie rushed from his goal and cleared in capital style. Play became fast and furious, each goal being visited in turn. Divers and Callaghan were responsible for scoring the opening goal, the latter heading neatly into the net. A minute later McGeachan beat Ritchie. The homesters invaded, and an endeavour was made to rush the ball through, but the Hibs' defence was secure. Orion had very hard lines in not getting a goal, but they found it impossible to break Rennie's faultless defence. Willox and Brebner were in capital form, and did able service for the home team.
