It is seldom that two local clubs meet and the game finishes without any of the contestants scoring. Such, however, as all know, was the result of the Aberdeen and Vics match for the Rhodesia Cup. The run of the play was very even, both sides in their turn having the best of matters, and strange to say both clubs had an opportunity of scoring off penalty kicks. Forsyth's attempt for the Vics was ludicrous in the extreme, but not so Mackie's for the Aberdeen, which Findlay managed to save at the expense of his face. It was a magnificent effort to score, magnificently saved. The second half was similar to the first, Findlay if anything having the most to do at the commencement, the Vics retaliating later on, but the backs of the Aberdeen managed to avert disaster, and the game closed with both clubs showing a clean sheet. Nicol who played for the Vics come from Dingwall and is at present attending classes in Aberdeen. He made a good show for his first match.
