    Practice Match
Kick Off:          Hutton (pen)
Attendance: 0
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
The players signed on by the Aberdeen FC so far for the forthcoming season engaged in a practise game at Pittodrie last night. An attendance estimated at 14,000 reflected the enthusiasm with which the coming of football is anticipated. With the exception of Moir, who is laid aside with pneumonia, all the players signed by the club took part, Moir's place being taken by Ritchie, who assisted the club last season. From start to finish the game was fast and the exchanges keen, and in every case the form of the players was weighed up. There were many clever bits of play in the game, although in more than one case there is obvious room for improvement, which can ne effected before the season opens next Friday. The game resulted in a victory for the "Stripes" by a penalty goal scored by Hutton. From what was revealed it is evident that the club should again be well served in defence. On the whole, the forwards were clever enough in midfield, but although both goalkeepers were well tested, the attack was somewhat lacking in shooting ability. It was unfortunate that Bruce, the 18-year-old recruit from St Anthony's, whose play delighted at times, sustained an injury before the interval, and was unable to resume.
