Aberdeen 1 - 2 East Fife
Kick Off:  3:00 PM   Hamilton 8.       Fleming 36, Fleming 60
Attendance: 7,500
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
SATURDAY?S defeat by East Fife was a typical case of points lost that could and should have been won. The Dons should have had the issue decided before half-time.
As a team they were a class above the Fifers. The Aberdeen forwards could make but couldn't take goalscoring chances. With half the opportunities East Fife scored twice to Aberdeen's once.
The Methil team was perhaps lucky that Hamilton was caught offside when Delaney had the ball in the net in the first half, and to survive two penally claims. They weren't a good team, but they were game fighters.

YORSTON was one Aberdeen player who didn't seem happy on the rain-sodden ground. He didn't have a good game and failed to accept at least two good scoring chances.
The best forwards were Hamilton and Baird. Both put a tremendous amount of energy into the game.
The left flank of fhe Aberdeen defence was weak. Shaw was by no means confident and Harris also had a poor match.
Emery revelled in the heavy going and his Big Bertha clearances often switched the Dons from defence to attack with disconcerting speed.
Young was as reliable as usual and Lowrie forced on play well with his accurate delivery of the ball in the first half. The former Manchester United player, who is somewhat lightly built, tapered off a bit after the interval.
