Premier Division
Aberdeen 1 - 1 St. Johnstone
Kick Off:  3:00 PM   Rowson 53.       Grant 85
Attendance: 10,974
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
When the half-time whistle sounded, new Dons boss Alex Miller must have thought there was much work to be done if he was going to get the fans back to Pittodrie as the boos rang round the stadium. Although Aberdeen had probably seen slightly more of the ball in the first-half, it was St Johnstone who had deserved to be in the lead having created the better chances. However, with a score of 0-0 at half-time, Miller could still be relatively pleased that his side were still in it.

The Dons came out fighting at the start of the second half and took the lead in the 49th minute. DAVID ROWSON collected the ball 25 yards out before inching forward, side-stepping a defender and striking a great low shot past Alan Main. St Johnstone came close when an attempted clearence rebounded off Phil Scott and Dons keeper Jim Leighton was happy to see the ball go just wide of the post.
Aberdeen ought to have increased their lead in the 70th minute but Stephen Glass could only find the sidenetting from the edge of the box.

With less than ten minutes left, Saints levelled when substitute RODDY GRANT headed home a free kick.
