There was an early scare for the Dons when the ball broke to Henrik Larsson
but Jim Leighton made a fine block, grabbing the ball at the second attempt.Billy
Dodds almost opened the scoring with a fine shot from the edge of the box but
Gould made a great save, turning the ball round the post. Gould looked lively
again, making another save, this time from Stephen Glass after slack play by
Celtic.
Henrik Larsson opened the scoring against the run of play, when he fired
home from 6 yards after the ball had broken kindly for the visiting side.
The Dons never really got going in the second half and were made to pay
when Darren Jackson made it 2-0, reacting first to the loose ball after
a fine
save by Jim Leighton from Regi Blinker. Toni Kombouare almost put through
his own net minutes before time but again Leighton was quick to react,
turning the header past the post.
