Five Goal Thriller As Dons Edge Out Celtic |
 |
Celtic had all the chances in the world to score, and more, but it was the Dons
who picked up full three points.
Penalty misses from Simon Donnelly(50 mins), and Craig Burley (73) and the
dismissal of Hoops Darren Jackson and Dons David Rowson added to an incredible
match.
A 25 yarder from MARK PERRY (39) gave the Dons the lead, but Donnelly's spot-kick
miss changed the game. REGI BLINKER'S own goal made it 2-0, CRAIG HIGNETT smoothly added a third,
and though Henrik Larsson pulled one back on 69 minutes, Burley's miss
ended Celtic's
hopes. Larrson converted the Hoops third penalty after four minutes of
injury time but it was too late and ABERDEEN took all three points.
