Kilmarnock have won 4-2, thanks to goals from Holt, Macpherson, Wright, McCutcheon.
Winters and Hamilton replied for Aberdeen. Aberdeen got off to the best possible start when man on form Robbie Winters struck to make it 1-0 after two minutes. It was his 6th goal in 4 matches, following his stunning hat-trick last week.
The Dons celebrations were short-lived however, when Alan Mahood equalised 7 minutes later. It was a bitter blow to the Dons, and Kilmarnock really started to play after that. Gus Macpherson made it 2-1 in 19 minutes after the Dons' defence failed to clear a corner; the ball fell to Macpherson, who struck it into the net. The scores stayed that way until half-time, and the Dons were left with the task of trying to get back into the game.
The Dons came out more positively in the second half and Jim Hamilton managed to get his first Dons goal, to emphasise the potential of the strike partnership between Hamilton and Winters.
Both teams continued to play good football, but Kilmarnock seemed to have more desire to go on and win the game. Manager Bobby Williamson then brought on youngster Gary McCutcheon in a bid to take all three points. That move paid off, when McCutcheon struck to make it 3-2 with just 4 minutes remaining. He then hit his second and Kilmarnock's fourth to put the game beyond doubt.
