The Dons were caught napping for the second week in a row with Gary McSwegan
ghosting in behind the defence to lash the ball low past Warner from 10 yards.
The goal spurred the Dons into action and Jamie Buchan netted the equaliser when
he sent a screamer past McKenzie from 20 yards. The remaining thirty minutes
of the half were a tight competitive affair, with Mayer and Winters going close
for the Dons and McSwegan coming close to adding a second.
The second half started in identical fashion when McSwegan grabbed his second
goal of the game with the Dons defence once again nowhere to be seen and worse
was to follow with McSwegan grabbing his hat-trick two minutes later. In the
50th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty and Colin Cameron made no mistake
from the spot. Eoin Jess pulled one back on the hour mark with a low drive
from the edge of the six yard box but any hopes of a comeback were ended when
Thomas Flogel added Hearts' fifth to end a miserable season for the Dons.
