Dons Thumped By Hearts |
 |
Aberdeen missed the chance to get off the bottom of the SPL, going down 3-0
to Hearts. Some poor defending from the Dons contributed to the result, the
first
goal coming after just 10 minutes. Jamie McAlister and ex-Scotland international
Jim Leighton got in a mix up, and Colin Cameron latched on to the loose ball
to place it in the net.
Gary Wales and Stephane Adam ran the show for Hearts, and the team were dealt
a blow when Finish international goalkeeper Antti Niemi was stretchered
off. Wales fine work paid off when he scored a good goal in the 47th minute.
The Dons seemed to lose any hope of getting back in the game by now, and the
game was effectively over when Stevie Fulton made it 3-0 in the final two minutes
of the game.
