Aberdeen 4 - 1 Gordon Highlanders
Kick Off:    Robertson, Unknown, Unknown, Unknown.       Ryan
Attendance: 0
Venue: Pittodrie Stadium, Aberdeen
A friendly match was played at Pittodrie between teams representing the Aberdeen Football Club and the Gordon Highlanders' Depot, Castlehill Barracks. There were several hundreds present when the team lined up as follows:-

Aberdeen: Macfarlane; Boyle, Tait; Urquhart, Ward, Halkett; Drummond, James Robertson, McKinlay, McDonald, Lennie.
Gordon: Simpson; Baker, Graham; Smith, Fowlie, Barrie; Murray, Duthie, Hunter, Ryan, Hughes.
Referee - Mr. Peter Simpson.

Aberdeen kicked off and played with the breeze in their favour. The Gordons opened briskly, but were soon sent to their own end, where the Aberdeen forwards missed several good openings. The Highlanders were no match for the club men, who practically did as they liked. A feature of the game was the fine play by the Gordons' defence. The game was more or less a farce. After 20 minutes' play J. Robertson scored for Aberdeen, as the result of a corner kick taken by Lennie. There was no more scoring up to half time.

Aberdeen had all the play in the second half, and scored three goals. Ryan scored for the Gordons.
