Aberdeen secured their first win of the season last night at Pittodrie in a benefit match with Falkirk on the half of George Wilson, the right half-back of the home club. Play was over very quiet order throughout, neither team exerting themselves to any extent. Aberdeen had by far the larger share of the pressing, and were fully worth their closing the leader of two goals. The Pittodrie defence was seldom tried, the halves were fair, with the frontline brisk and smart in the open, but backward in finishing. The feature of Falkirk's play was the performance of the goalkeeper, Stewart, but mention has to be made of Allan at back and Mitchell and Doverty forward.
