DONS DROP POINT
PLAYING with ten men in the second half, Aberdeen drew 1-1 with East Fife in North-Eastern League game at Pittodrie. This was the first point the Dons have lost at home this season.

On play they should have won by a comfortable margin. There were periods after the interval, when the Dons were without F. Taylor, who suffered from a recurrence of a knee injury, during which the visitors seldom crossed the halfway line.
Niven, the East Fife goalkeeper, stood between Aberdeen and victory. His display was the finest seen at Pittodrie' this season. He was certainlv at fault when Pattillo scored, but he saved a penalty and had many other remarkable saves.
Sneddon was another Fife stalwart, while Russell, of Sheffield Wednesday, was a grand constructive half until he tired. Against his old team, Benny Yorston was the schemer in the East Fife attack, in which May at centre, who scored the Fifers' goal, was always dangerous.
The home defence never wavered. Dunlop took the honours at half-back, with Gavin and George Taylor little behind him in merit. Hamilton was the outstanding forward, although he should have scored with the penalty. Pattillo, Dryden, and Gourlay all played their parts, well.
