Dons' Recruit Does Well
The Dons recorded a 3-0 victory over a smart R.A.F. Select team at Arbroath.

Play was keen and interesting throughout, and the Dons were worthy winners, but there were occasions when the opposition served up fast and clever football.
The Dons were solid in defence. Bennett (I.T.C.) gave a confident display in goal. Dyer was the better back. Anderson proved his worth as a pivot and also acquitted himself well at left-half. Taylor was strong in defence and attack.
So far as the attack is concerned, chief interest centred on the display of Munro, the Elgin boy, at outside-left. He is going to prove an acquisition to the club. He is fast, controls the ball well, and has any amount of pluck Two of the goals came from corner-kicks taken by him.
Pattillo led the line well. Green's play was affected by a shoulder injury, but Wallbanks and Buchan both impressed.
Best for the Select were Brownlee (Dundee United), Sutherland (Carnoustie Panmure), Wood (Carnoustie Panmure), Dryden (Aberdeen) and Turnbull (Jeanfield Swifts).
Pattillo and Wallbanks scored for the Dons, while a Select defender put through his own goal.
