Fighting Dons Save Point
pIFTEEN minutes from the finish of the game at Dunfermline, where the Dons drew 3-3 with the Athletic, defeat seemed certain for the Pittodrie team. They were two goals in arrears then, but they fought back wlth great tenacity and, with only seconds to go, Waldron broke clear, drew the home goalkeeper, and, scored a great equalising goal.
It was a thrilling finish to a game which bristled with exciting incident from start to finish.

Dundee, with a lead of one point, come to Pittodrle on Saturday, while Dunfermline and Raith Rovers are level with the Dons in points.
The game at Dunfermline revealed that Aberdeen have in McKennna of Blantyre Celtic, whom Manager Halliday signed at the finish, a young player who has all the qualities that make a grand back. Great work by him led to two of the Dons goals.
With Dyer, who was back to form, he made a fine partnership. Johnstone was very confident in goal. Dunlop was again in great form, Russell was a grand purveyor, and Newman played his role well at left half.
In an attack that was inclined to play too closely in the early stages Pattillo, Waldron and Green were best. Pattillo had the ball in the net a third time for a disallowed goal, and was unfortunate not to score with the best shot of the game which struck the upright. Waldron schemed very cleverly, and Green wasa grafter. Munro took careful watching, but Buchan was weak.
