Draw At Pittodrie |
 |
At Pittodrie, the Aberdeen string could only divide two goals with Kilmarnock "A" under Scottish Alliance auspices. There were about 4000 spectators. The visitors showed superior combination right from the start, and it was no surprise when McPhail gave them the lead. Later, they again had the ball in the net, but an offside infringement nullified the point. In the second half the visitors repeatedly threatened to increase the lead, and it was only the sterling defence of Cunningham, Bruce, and Dick that kept them out. Aberdeen drew level before the finish. Forbes catching a partial clearance by the Kilmarnock goalkeeper to put the ball in the net.
